Strengthening Partnerships between Community Health Centers and Quitlines

This webinar describes how Cease Smoking Today (CS2day), a collaborative of universities and national organizations, partnered with Break Free Alliance, the North Carolina Community Health Center Association and Alere Wellbeing to identify ways that Community Health Centers (CHCs) and telephone quitlines can partner better to increase patient utilization of quitlines. Quitline and CHC staff participated in focus groups and a feedback session to identify quitline-based cessation interventions that are replicable and low resource. The process used for this project and the results of the focus groups and feedback session are shared during this presentation. Presenters share tools and examples of existing strong partnerships between CHCs and quitlines, and explore future strategies that may strengthen partnerships and increase efficiency.
