A gift to the Health Education Council is a lasting way to honor someone. You can celebrate a special occasion such as birthday, anniversary, holiday, or retirement through a gift in their name. To memorialize the life of someone close, such as a loved one, friend, or business colleague through a gift in their memory is also an opportunity to pay tribute to their memory.

You may donate online using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express through our secure server.

Many individuals donate to the Health Education Council through their worksite giving programs. HEC is a proud United Way Certified Partner Agency # 3049.

Car Donation

Donate your used car, truck, boat or RV to the Health Education Council and we'll arrange to have it picked up free of charge. We accept most vehicles, even if they don't run. Some restrictions may apply on older vehicles, though. It's easy and convenient, and you'll be eligible for a tax deduction as well!

Why donate my vehicle?

• Vehicle and vessel donations made to a bona fide charitable organization are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. However, individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive from a tax deductible donation.

• It's also much easier to donate your used vehicle than it is to sell it yourself. And the tax savings might even be more than what you would receive from a trade in. You’ll be spared the ordeal of selling your vehicle to a stranger.

How to make a vehicle donation

Donating is easy! You can fill out our form, or look at our FAQ, or call Health Education Council (916) 556-3344. After receiving all of your information you will be contacted by a licensed towing company to make arrangements for a pick up.
