Network for a Healthy California - About Us
The Network for a Healthy California - Gold Country Region provides coordination and support for community based nutrition and physical activity education and program development to achieve the goals of the Network in Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mono, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba counties.
Increase daily consumption of fruits and vegetables to the recommended amount,
Increase daily physical activity to a minimum of 30 minutes for adults and 60 minutes for children,
Improve food security, including participation in Federal nutrition assistance programs, especially Food Stamps,
Work toward obesity reduction.
