 our community of partners\, supporters\, and residents to our South Sacram
 ento office to celebrate the impact that we collaboratively made in 2023 a
 nd learn more about our shared vision and collective priorities for 2024.
 \n\nThe event will feature the public release of HEC’s new children’s book
  -  “Finding Your Connecting Place”\, the newly released book written by E
 xecutive Director Debra Oto-Kent detailing one family's story of working w
 ith HEC to create social connections to reduce loneliness and improve ment
 al health. We will preview the book and have copies for sale to help kick-
 off the giving season.\n\nSpecial guest Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen se
 cured $300\,000 in funding from the State of California for accessibility 
 improvements to the HEC building. She will be presenting the organization 
 with the check during the Open House.\n\nAppetizers and beverages will be 
 provided.
