HEC and the Mexican Consulate in Sacramento are pleased to co-present the 10th Women’s Leadership Conference/Conferencia De Liderazgo para Mujeres en el Norte de California. Due to the continued COVID-19 health emergency, this edition of the conference will be virtual.

The usual end-of year conference has been moved to March 13 to honor International Women’s Day. During these unprecedented times, the lives of all people in the world have been affected in some way due to the pandemic and social and political unrest. Yet, we know that women continue to bear the brunt of the responsibilities to maintain family health and wellness even while facing added stressors and hardships. In the United States, Latinas have been leaving the workforce in greater numbers than any other racial group of women, citing the need to take care of their family as the driver for this decision (1).

In the 10th Women’s Leadership Conference, we want to honor the strength and resilience of the women and caregivers in our communities. The conference will  equip participants with relevant and timely information on health issues, including COVID-19 prevention and vaccination, mental health, food security, and brain health, among other topics.  English translation available.
