At HEC, we work to empower community members to build partnerships that support well-being in their neighborhoods. By aligning resources, increasing economic well-being, promoting safety and strengthening social connections, neighborhoods can improve health outcomes and help all residents to thrive.
HEC's 2024-25 Impact Includes:
- Distributed 200,000 pounds of fresh, healthy food in South Sacramento.
- Provided 11,017 students with nutrition education in Sacramento County schools.
- Connected 4,933 individuals to preventative health screenings, including 523 individuals who received preventative depression screenings.
- Provided 2,420 individuals monthly with healthy, free produce in South Sacramento.
- Dedicated over 1,400 hours of healing-centered mentorship for youth.
- Facilitated financial education workshops for 660 individuals.
