Youth Commissioner Practicum Violence Prevention Commissioners

Now accepting applications for Youth Violence Prevention Commissioners!
The youth commissioners are a group of residents ages 16-24 who work in collaboration with the Sacramento Youth Violence Prevention Collective (SYVPC) to prevent youth violence by creating a true web of support for youth in Sacramento. SYVPC members include organizations representing law enforcement, public health, education, health care and more who have are committed to making documented improvements in criminal justice, health, and education outcomes among minority youth in Sacramento.
Sacramento resident 16 to 24 years of age who have been directly affected by community violence, untreated mental illness, behavioral challenges, negative encounters with law enforcement, poverty, homelessness, incarceration, or school failure.
