Health Access

Emergency Preparedness Resources

LISTOS

The LISTOS campaign funds the Health Education Council to provide disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation resources, with a focus on Spanish speaking communities across Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El Dorado County. In Spring of 2024, HEC trained a cohort of community ambassadors in this region to lead and educate their neighbors and networks on how to be prepared for emergencies.

In 2026, HEC will be launching two Emergency Preparedness Ambassador programs. One will be aimed at youth, and another at Spanish speaking adults. The program will train residents in Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado Counties to be disaster prepared and to be trusted sources of information in their community. Find our outreach team at a variety of community events for resources.
