Emergency Preparedness Resources

LISTOS

The LISTOS campaign funds the Health Education Council to provide disaster preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation resources, with a focus on Spanish speaking communities across Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and Solano County. In Spring of 2024, HEC trained a cohort of community ambassadors in this region to lead and educate their neighbors and networks on how to be prepared for emergencies. Find our outreach team at a variety of community events for resources.

Save Our Water Campaign & Heat Ready CA

The Health Education Council is teaming up with the Governor's Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications to support Save Our Water and Heat Ready CA. Save Our Water is an initiative where HEC is educating community members in the Greater Sacramento region on how they can help conserve water across the state, while Heat Ready CA seeks to help residents begin developing plans for dealing with heat waves, connect community members to local cooling options, refer local resources, and more.
